    Enough time for starter?

    Brewing a Harpoon IPA clone today, an all grain kit, from Austin Homebrew. Forgot to make my starter last night so it'll only be on the stir plate for maybe 4-8 hrs. Is this going to be enough time for the yeast to get up and go to work or should I be ok? Yeast is Wyeast 1098 British Ale.

    brown sugar late addition?

    Doing a clone recipe from Austin Homebrew, Midnight Sun Arctic Devil barleywine. Recipe calls for 1lb of brown sugar.     hops storage

    Just wondering what is the preferred method of storing hops. Fridge? Freezer? We bought a barleywine clone recipe from AH and the hops are in those little vacuum sealed bags so I just threw them in the freezer. Does it matter how they're stored?

    5lb CO2 tank

    Will this size tank be big enough to force carb 2 cornys and serve them too? Or are we better off getting a bigger tank? Don't want to get stuck with an empty co2 bottle in the middle of a keg.

    oxygen injection for wine yeast

    Was wondering if it would be beneficial to inject O2 into the wine before adding the yeast? I do this with making beer to help oxygenate the wort before pitching the yeast and was wondering if I could do the same with wine.

    how much pbw

    How much do I use per gallon? All I have is those little measuring spoons. Is 1 tablespoon too much? Too little? Just right? Why don't they put little scoops in the jug?

    vinator junk

    Is there a trick to getting this thing to work? The spring is all the way in, but the solution only barely spits into the bottle? Never had this problem before so I need some help or I'm going to blow a gaskets so help me God.

    Priming a hefe

    Will be bottling our NB Hefeweizen next weekend and was wondering how much priming sugar to use. How much can I use to really carb it up but won't have little bombs in the basement? Would 2 cups be too much?

    I'm finally going to make starters for my beer. Is a stir plate a necessity for aeration or is it more a convenience? Couldn't I just use my O2 that I use on my wort?
