    Welch's Grape Juice Wine

    I wish some of this stuff would last long enough to age. I have made about 40 gal of it and it never lasts longer than 3 months in the bottle. :(

    I got my hands on a food grade 30gal barrel and just had to put something in it, Right now its black berry season in Oregon so not having allot of money to dump into 25 or so gal of wine or beer ingredients my wife and I started pick them. 15gal of black berry later we have wine going.

    I got hold of a 30 gal food grade barrel and had to fill it with something, seeing as how it was black berry season in Oregon I used what i had.

    i think for the next run at this i will do as Drowninginbeer said and roast some of the wetcob in the oven and steep it like an all-grain batch, any ideas on what to add to it seeing as how it wont be malted? Webby

    I finally opened the last bottle of this today ( i forgot about it in the back of the cabnet) and it was as good as the day i bottled it.:) Next year i will try and get pictures. Webby

    This stuff smelled real good in the primary so i think i will take your advice (at least part of it) and throw some in the oven first. I may start a 1gal batch tonight and see how it goes. Webbey

    I'm not saying i wont try it I would just be careful who you tell, it may not be a case of legality but if they think you doing something you shouldn’t be there may be heavy court time in you future. Along that line is there a yeast that would yeild 18-20% in cider?

    first hard cider taste like crap, Help

    I have some from Oct and like DGibb said its just now turning in to cider, I would stuff it in a corner and forget about it for 6 months thatll help. Webby
