    Brew Kit question

I bought an all grain kit from Austin Homebrew with the grains already crushed back in October. I got extremely busy with life and never brewed it. I even made a starter and it sat in the fridge for awhile and then chunked it. Do you think the grains are still good? They are sealed in the...

    Holy Hops...I Froze My Brews

Greetings fellow homebrewers....I'm here to admit that I am a dumba**. So, I made a quick collar Friday for my 5.0 cu/ft freezer that I use as a fermentation chamber along with a temp controller. I needed more headroom to be able to fit a 6.5 gal bucket along with a 5 gal carboy. This way...

    BIAB Question

So I'm thinking of trying to do a BIAB batch. I won a 18.5 gallon aluminum pot with a basket from a raffle at my son's school. To make it easier, can I just order an all grain kit from Midwest? I do have the beersmith software. I can just put in the information to get the water volumes, right?

    Basic Physics ?

Thanks to all of you for the insight. This is what I thought. I have some gas law experience and this is what I was thinking. Appreciate it!!

    Basic Physics ?

So I'm still relatively new at kegging. I have 4 on tap as we speak. All have been forced carbed around 12-13 PSI and the serving pressure has stayed the same. I'm just trying to get a grasp on the physics part and CO2 absorption. My understanding is the once the beer has absorbed CO2 and is...

I really do not know what my boil off rate is. It is an aluminum Bayou Classic 13 gallon pot. Im doing a 5.5 gal batch. This is what Beersmith gave me? Any suggestions about what I could change for the better?

    Crushing Grain w/o a mill

Hey guys!! I'm thinking about doing my 1st BIAB this weekend. I've been doing partial mashes for awhile now. Does anyone have a way to crush 12 lbs of grain easily? Of course, I do not have a grain mill and my local liquor store sells the grain but does not crush the grain for you. Any ideas?
