Little help with stupid Mass politicians???

I read that this morning. The irony was palpable since I remember reading a similar article in the Glob last week about all of the new micro breweries that have opened up in the past years and plan to open up in the coming years. It was sunshine and lollipops. Then the government came to...

had a martini for the first time last night (extra dirty)

I found out the other day that green olives run through me like it's their job. I crossed out Martinis from my list after that night

    Thor. Julius. Fattimus. Porter. Vorlof.

    Transformers 2

The end of it was just too weird for me. I can see the directors and writers going through the plot getting all excited, taking turns 1-upping each other with plot twists and explosions, then one of them realizes: "sh*t, we just killed off both of our main characters......what do we do now?"...

    Lobster prices

Damn, you guys pay a lot for lobsters. I typically find them for $6-$9 per pound regular price. On sale $4-$5 per pound. Then again, I'm in MA. Close to the head of the supply chain.

This is why I hate Facebook......

I just set my status as: "No one should die because health care is incompetently run by the same government that has failed at running everything else, and no U.S. citizen should go broke funding such a system."

What is your favorite logical fallacy?

I've always chuckled at the idea of "correlation equals causation". You see this false logic a lot when dealing with gun control, war on drugs, etc.

Did the crazy, flailing-arm dance today...

reminds me of a story that still cracks me up every time I read it. Oh dear lord! Bees! - The Something Awful Forums Sorry for the cross post.

    Radio show joke

Theres an old Family Feud clip with pretty much the exact same dialog.

    ShamWow

Is it just me, or does anyone else hate the part where he pours the cola onto the rug, the cola seeps out the sides, the camera pans away, then comes back to the carpet WITH NO MORE COLA SEEPING OUT OF THE SIDES! They pulled the ole bait and switch. Also, he reminds me of a person who has had...

    Vitamins and homebrew

Has anyone ever attempted to brew a beer with any significant nutritional value by infusing it with vitamins and minerals. IE, dissolving vitamins into the wort, or "dryhopping" with vitamin C, etc?

No hops during boil, only dry-hopped?

Has anyone ever attempted such madness? Foregoing the standard hop additions during a 1 hour boil and instead dry hopping the beer with the same amount that would have been consumed during boil?

    Patriot Homebrew Contest

Maybe its just me, but I don't like the idea of someone else more or less owning something that I put so much time, effort, and care into. The only thing I can see happening: 1. Person X makes the most incredible beer known to man. 2. Submits it to competition. 3. Wins said...

    Repitch for a Jalapeño beer

I "dry hopped" on top of a Jalapeño. Will the pepper effect the yeast or will I need to repitch when bottling?

    Almost had a blowout

just went down to check on it and it was pretty near out of control. had to rid up a blow off tube with the bottom half of the airlock and my 3/8 tube damn, this is exciting, but for no particular reason

    Almost had a blowout

Seriously.......................I just got back from a night on the town to find my 2nd AG (a wheat) about ready to blow out. The airlock was filled with wort, wort was spilled all over the cover of the bucket, and it was struggling to bubble. Pulled out the air lock. Refilled it. Replaced...

    Floaties in primary - common?

    Floaties in primary - common?

So I just transferred my first AG batch to the secondary yesterday (Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale) and noticed chunks of stuff suspended in the upper 4 inches of the brew. It looked like something from a severe chest cold. I transferred anyway, trying to avoid sucking up any of the...
