    Help! Poison Chemical taste wtf?

safale US-05 is it top fermenting?

Forgive my inexperience but i did my first ale today and pitched the Safale US-05 yeast straight in seems to have all settled to a half inch of white sludge on the bottom of the fermenter, same as all the lagers and pilseners ive done using S23 and W34/70. I was under the impression this was a...

    High FG using body enhancer

Thanks for the response, it was a simple extract brew, a can of Morgans classic gold lager, and 1 kg body enhancer, my Lhbs said its 700g dex and 300g maltodextrin (not fermentable but contributes to mouth feel) Did not take notice of target fg but the previous brew was a morgans blonde lager...

    Cooper beer enhancer

If you use these "brew enhancers" and they only contain 75% fermentable sugars will you end up with a mid strength beer? would you need to top up an extra 250g of dextrose to compensate for the 250-300g of non fermentable maltodextrin to obtain a full strength beer?

    Secondary racking lagers

The ferment temp is 54-57 during the day and typically 50-54 at night. Seems to be chugging along quite nicely ! but ive read the D rest should not go higher than 62 F when using saflager S23 ? are the temps really honestly that critical?
