It's a bit late for my comment, but I thought I'd still throw it out there in case you have a problem with the controller you found on Ebay - search the forums for "ebay aquarium temp controller," and you can find steps to build a temp controller for around $20 - $30.

I've got this one - it will hold four ball locks or 3 pin locks without a collar.

Their website says they've been having a manufacturing problem with the stainless steel (but not the chrome) Perlick 525 and 575 fitting shanks , so they're removing the stainless steel ones from their site until it gets resolved.

I just bought one too. I've heard that you can fit five ball locks with a collar. All I have right now are pin locks, and it will only hold four (and will need a collar).

FYI - Cornykeg.com has the clearance kegs in stock on their website today (7-2-2011).

I saw today that cornykeg.com has a four pack of pin lock kegs for $86. 95 plus shipping - I haven't ordered anything from them, so I can't tell you how good they are.
