    Gravity check sample

I drink all of mine in the name of science. I think it's important to keep track of the taste as it ferments. For example if I'm getting some off flavors it's usually due to too warm of fermentation So I start up the old swamp cooler

    keg help

Honestly the whole ball lock easier to vent is BS! It's not big deal to press down on the gas poppet of a pin lock keg to vent it. It all really comes down to number/ size and price. For my keezer the size didn't matter I was going to get 5 plus 20# co2 no matter which so it came down to price...

    Too high terminal gravity

We need some more info. Extract or AG? Mash temp? Liquid or dry yeast? Starter? Try to gently swirl to get yeast back in suspension and ramp up temp to 70-72

    DFH 120 minute clone

So I just finished my batch. My OG ended up at 1.158 and FG at 1.011 for 19% ABV. I tasted my hydro sample and was hit with a ton of sweetness up front. I have to assume its that way for everyone due to the amount of sugar added. My question for those further along: Does this sweetness die...

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

Mr. Beer fermenters are great for small batches. I doa ton of 2 gallon test batches. Like getting receipes right in small batches them scale it up to 5 or 10 gallon. I also do apple wine and meads for swbo in them. Just because I've moved onto AG doesn't mean they worthless !!

Green bottles - Your opinions on using them

Yes brown bottles block uv better than green. However you can use them. I would recommend keeping them in a dark location to avoid light. I keep in a card board box then straight to the fridge. Never had a problem.

    sierra nevada celebration clone

If you can cold crash it for a few days. That will cause the hops to drop out and help clear your beer. Then carefully rack off the top of the trub.
