And while we’re on the subject of reprogramming the EB PIDs, has anyone found a way to use the timer in a delay state to automatically start heating water in the HLT, say, after 8 hours, so your strike water is up to temp by the time you get home from work?

I will say, let it carbonate at the serving pressure, don't force carb at 30PSI. I have noticed that on the beers I rush carbonating, the head's bubbles are looser and fade much more quickly. Conversely, the head is nice and tight when I just put the tap on and let it carbonate at the natural...

Welding is literally just amped up soldering. It's not difficult, go find a shop around you that will trade beer for teaching and see what you come up with. You're going to pay a fortune for a premade stand.

You will want to cover the door with something though, so you don't oxidize your beer by light. That's never an issue with wine, because a little oxidation is good with a great wine.

You still crush the grain you steep.
