    Looking for a PS3 game

we do, but on a rainy night when the kids are already in bed it's nice to play something together instead of watching some mindless drivel on tv

    Looking for a PS3 game

wii sports and raving rabbids on the wii are also two great games when you've been drinking. I'll have to look into portal 2, I found Untold Legends on a search earlier, seems like a split-screen Elder Scrolls, which she played as well.

    Any Metallurgists out there?

These are all neat ideas, that Mokume Gane is very nice but pricey. I like the damascus steel concept, there's a big press, anvil, and forge in Grandpa's old workshop that would probably get the job done. My plan on the copper and aluminum was to gently pour them in simutaneously on opposite...

    Looking for a PS3 game

swmbo and I enjoy ratchet and clank but they're single player, she's played borderlands with me but she's not into fps games like call of duty. we've also enjoyed most of the lego games (the harry potter one feels disjointed and unstructured). Anybody have a suggestion for a game we could play...

    Any Metallurgists out there?

I had an idea but I'm not sure what would happen. If I melted copper and aluminum separately but poured them into a mold together would they bond into one piece without completely mixing into an alloy? Basically I wanted to turn a tap handle with more character to it kind of like having wood...

    Plastic hose barb causes cancer?

I remember reading the back of a trident package when I was younger, "has been shown to cause cancer in lab rats." how do you get a rat to chew gum and not eat it?

    made friends with the neighbor---NOT

I used to be a garbage man and one of my weekly stops was a middle aged single guy that did the same thing, every week he'd have a 35-gallon can filled with CRUSHED miller lite cans. As far as I could tell he was quite unpopular in the neighborhood so most likely they were all his. As far as...

How To Build A Hop Spider To Filter Hops From Your Wort

These all look great! The route I took to get a hop strainer is a little different though. Step 1 get a job at a machine shop Step 2 find an 8 in diameter X 12 in tall SS basket in the scrap bin Step 3 pay the $5 that it's worth in scrap Step 4 clean Step 5 use on my next brew day

Attention dads and moms: how do you raise children in the context of brewing?

I was one of those too. I also had a buddy in high school who was allowed to drink at home so at parties drinking wasn't a big deal to him and was very responsible about it (well most of the time). My two have been helping me since they were 5 and 7, steeping grains, bottling, etc. They've...

    Best Pre-Made Root Beer Syrup?

I know I'm not Yooper but I thought I'd chime in. Midwest Supplies is only out of stock for the Sprecher Diet Root Beer, everything else is still there.

    Best Pre-Made Root Beer Syrup?

Hopefully the root beer doesn't have that same after taste. If it does I may try adding other stuff to try and hide it. Has anyone else ever had Frosttop soda? They have a vanilla caramel that was very tasty. I think it was basically a root beer with extra vanilla and caramel added to it.

    Best Pre-Made Root Beer Syrup?

We're just about to the bottom of our Sprecher (midwestsupplies.com) next we're going to give Gnome a try. Although the directions for it are for natural fermentation so I'll have to adjust the amount of sugar to add before force carbing. I suppose I should mention, the Sprecher is very good.

Found some baby rabbits in my back yard. What should I do?

I vote Capture, Raise, Eat. The last time I found a nest we had just moved in, had a couple friends down and had just started a fire in the ring that was already in the yard. My 4 and 7 year olds pointed out that the fire sounded funny and was moving, yep three baby rabbits, apparently the...
