And try to control the temp.
I thing i over do the sugar in trying to bring up the alchol content.

I have two questons .
Do you have to use champagne yeast or will brewers yeast be ok.
And should this be done in a open vessle like some wines or closed with an air lock. thanks john.

Well its brew 20 and undrinkable.
It is my first partical grain kit and the day i was going to brew i lost my sparg bag.
I had smacked the yeast packet and there was no turing back .
I have heard of guys using nylons for the grain (dont do it).

I was a little bumbed when i got home and seen that.
Now that we talked and i had a 22oz BA I FEEL MUCH BETTER.
That should all change shortly as the wife is do home .

Ok thanks I may try that and strain it going into the primary.
Its a brewers best kit ---when it gets to the hops it gest says(Add bittering hops)
And boil for 55 minutes then add finishing hops.Boil for an additional 5 min.
