    Fermentation problem... WTF mate???

I checked the beer again yesterday. Gravity reading was 1.010. The taste was pretty good (much less of an aftertaste then last time). I'm still getting bubbles in the airlock, about 4 a minute. I was thinking about bottling this weekend (Saturday will be 4 weeks)... Too soon??? If I...

    Fermentation problem... WTF mate???

So yesterday I took a gravity reading and found the SG at 1.020. Definite progress two weeks after adding 4 Beano tabs... So, I transferred it to my secondary Carboy and threw in some hop pellets for dry hopping. I plan to leave it for another two weeks before I take another reading and...

    Fermentation problem... WTF mate???

So boiling the beano was a mistake... Noted. Should I add more at this point??? Or should I just consider it a learning experience and let it go? Thanks for all the feedback.

    Fermentation problem... WTF mate???

Let me start from the beginning... It was three weeks ago (as of tomorrow) that I brewed an IPA. It was an extract clone from AHS. I used the "Texas Two-Step" method for the first time. http://www.byo.com/feature/1510.html Everything seemed to be OK during & after the brew day. I...

    Magic Hat Jinx

I found this beer for the first time last week. I stumbled upon a 6-pack and really enjoyed it. Well, a 5-pack really... I guess someone at the store had to try one. I would love to comment on the OG... but being that I have all of two, TWO brews under my belt, I may not be the...

    FG estimation

Well, I transferred to the secondary last night and found that the gravity was at 1.020 (same as 3 days ago)... Still a bit high from the expected FG of 1.010. I plan on letting it sit in the secondary for two weeks and then bottling. Should I be concerned that I might have a stuck ferment...

    FG estimation

Thanks for the insight!!! Will it take longer to ferment? I'm thinking about leaving in the primary for 10 to 14 days.

    FG estimation

So I bought a Fat Tire Clone kit from AHS and decided to see what the 1% alcohol boost was all about. The instructions that were included in the kit did not mention the 1% boost... However the 1% boost package said that it should be added to the boil. So I added the 14 oz supercharged corn...

    Record Keeping Questions.

Nice spreadsheet orfy... (Ha, That's what she said) That seems very helpful but also kind confusing with all the all-grain brewing steps in there. I may have to design one. What calculations do you include?
