It's a bit old, but I'm curious.. Which magnet setup worked best? I've been having a lot of trouble with my stir bars being thrown lately so I have been researching methods to update my stir plate to function better.

It would be 0.2 oz, actually. It's 1 oz for 5 gallons. That would also equal out to being just shy of half a tablespoon.

lustreking is on the right track. My wife's cat used to used the bathroom on the couch and the bed and pretty much anything that she could stand on top of. The problem was that the litterbox was not being cleaned enough. Scoop at least once a day. Twice would be better.

My guess would be that they are alright. 12 oz bottles should hold about 4 volumes of CO2. Of course some 12 oz bottles are thinner than others and some may have minor defects that won't be noticed until they blow up. For safety's sake I'd suggest opening one a day or every other day and...
