    Low yield on batches

    I like to make a 5.25 gallon batch size going into the fermenter. That way when i rack to the keg ( in your case the bottling bucket ) i get 5 gallons, leaving the trub behind. If your topping up a partial boil, keep in mind you will lower the OG.

    Bacteria in Beer

    My Brother and I had the same thing happen to us on our first batch. Beer came out fine. We used to joke that in order to brew that recipe again he'd have to stick his arm in it befor puting the lid on. Havent brewed Daves Arm Ale in a while. I wouldnt worry too much about it. I find it helps...

    bottle labels

    +1 ive been using only Sam Adams bottles and 5-10 min in hot water seems to do the trick. I just peel the label and scrub the left over glue off with a hot wet face cloth. But im sure the big Samuel Adams signature on the bottle is a turnoff for some. I dont mind though, i love the beer.
