I usually do my IPA grain bill with 2-row, Vienna and crystal. I've been really happy with how it comes out.

Farmhouse Ales. Tips, suggestions, and experiences please.

Nice. I would recommend some rice hulls with that much rye. Maybe some candied sugar in the boil too. Brew on!

Farmhouse Ales. Tips, suggestions, and experiences please.

The one thing is the Belgian saison yeast likes to ferment at a higher temp. Between 70-80. We I did my saison I could only ferment in higher 60's but I turned out really well.

    Earthy hops...

I'm doing an IPA with some smoked malt. Kinda going for a "smoked IPA" taste. Thinking of using just chinook and simcoe and possibly EKG. I want the smoke to be able to come through so I'm not gonna dry hop like I do with all my ipa's. Any thoughts?

IPA with Cascade, Citra and... ?

I've done a warrior, simcoe and citra IPA that was amazing. Dry hopped with 2oz of whole leaf citra in the secondary. Citra is a great hop!!

    Copper mash tun

I found an old vintage copper 10 gallon milk can. It looks amazing and I have a cool idea to turn it into a mash tun. Anyone have any opinions on heat retention?
