Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

That is an AWESOME set up! I may have to copy that one day. But what I mean was with the relatively flimsy top that the Anvil comes with, would it be better to have a condenser rig set up higher above the lid for clearance vs extended further out to reduce the cantilever effect on the lid.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

since I wasted too much time the last couple days and didn't pull the trigger on one of the last two slayers @Bobby_M had in stock , it looks like I'm gonna DIY this for my Anvil. I know the typical set-up for the Anvil has been to hang over the side, but has anyone configured it to be higher to...

Even little changes can make a big difderence. Repaint and dent removal this spring so SWMBO stops making me hide it behind the bar.

    Wood veneer on....a kegerator?

Looking for input/opinions from those much smarter than I. I have an old Kenmore kegerator that the wife hates the look of. Big black metal box, with the ugly laminate mdf top. The top should be easy enough, as I was thinking reuse the old top and once properly prepped put some wood veneer on it...

After 8 years, I finally took the dents out

i considered the vinyl wrap route, but I think ultimately it will be cheaper to paint.

After 8 years, I finally took the dents out

once mine is more worthy of showing off, I definitely will. Right now I have to decide on color....and how to do it. Moving it back upstairs isn't an option, and i'm unsure about covering the entire world in plastic sheeting to spraypaint in the basement. So I may actually try a high density...

After 8 years, I finally took the dents out

I was tempted to start a thread showing just the vintage kegerators once mine is done. With enough searching you can find them here, but for half of those threads the pictures are gone now.

After 8 years, I finally took the dents out

While wifey has been letting me sssssslowly go back to fixing up my '51 Westinghouse kegerator (currently just an overflow fridge) the first thing I wanted to do was fix the dents that were put there the day of its arrival, when the straps gave way and it fell over in the back of a pickup truck...

Question for all the vintage refrigerator restorers....

Got 'em. Tried it from the front and nothing. Tried it from behind and as soon as I put pressure on one of the two tabs you see here it sprang right off. I was able to get one of the chrome tips off, but the others won't budge. Maybe a good blast of WD40 or two or maybe even some RemOil and that...

Question for all the vintage refrigerator restorers....

A new gasket is in the plans one day. The original one on there is still pliable and is showing no gaps. I've had this thing for eight years, and I hardly ever notice it run. Especially if I keep it on the "Economy" setting (no defrosting, that's where the power sucking came from later in the...

Question for all the vintage refrigerator restorers....

I got it 8 years ago this month. Had/have every intention of fixing it up into a kegerator. The elderly couple I purchased it from bought it brand new, and turned it into their own kegerator the last 40 years they had it. Complete with plastic Schlitz tap which I still have! Little rough, but...
