fall is approaching! what are you brewing to prepare?

Most recently, 10 gallons of a pumpkin ale. Smelled great coming out of the brew kettle and is currently fermenting away in the fermentation chamber. It's going to be a tough couple of weeks waiting for it to be ready to keg...

    WhisperKool 1600 XLT

Interesting. I calculated a "ball-park" shipping rate through USPS and got around $50 for priority. As I'm not exactly sure on the dimensions it would take to box this thing up, would you mind doing an estimate to 32092 since you have the unit in your possession. If it's not too bad, I might...

    Dogs

Our two. Reece is a black lab/catahoula mix and Shelby is a patterdale terrier (very rare breed, similar to a jack russell but not as hyper). There was a bird in the tree and he was determined to get it. When I first got him we spent a lot of time working on retrieving ducks...

    Need to convince myself

There are a lot of variables there... What size batches are you doing currently, what burner, etc. As for the electric side of things, how much power do you have access to (i.e. 240v, how many amps), what size elements are you considering? Personally, I have a 240v/30amp Kal clone with 5500w...

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

Still cannot quite make my mind up on this... Would you consider selling just the pot and lid without FB? Also, I have never seen one of these in person. Any idea on the thickness/quality of the stainless? Obviously it is not as thick as a keg, but is it similar to that of a blichmann...

How many gallons of Homebrew in 2012?

    5 gallons of cream ale = 7826

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

What is the false bottom worth? I have no need for it, because I would simply be using the kettle as a BK...

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

Tempting. Any idea on what shipping would be to 32092?

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

What are the dimensions on the new kettle? Also, does it have a lid with it. Definitely interested.

    North Florida group buy?

I'm in St. Augustine and would be interested. I can always use a few more ball lock kegs, but would certainly jump on a bulk grain buy.

SYL-2352, still overshoot temps like crazy

This was previously my problem. I had my HLT probe installed through the sight glass and if I did not constantly stir, I would get really bad hot and cold spots, making my temperature look way off. As for settings, for some reason mine got way off a while back, but I never figured out why...

15" Hinged false bottom with hole and stand offs

Possibly interested. All stainless steel I presume? Also, do you happen to know the hole spacing on the sheet and the thickness (i.e. gauge of the sheet)? Do the legs/stand offs rest on the bottom of the keg without issue, or does it cause the false bottom to not sit completely flat on the...

After looking at it again, you are correct. My apologies.

My E-HERMS Build - LOTS OF PICS

I believe the midwest IC is actually 1/2" ID. That's why so many people have been using it, as it does not cause a restriction in flow. Thus, the compression would be a 5/8 tube (i.e. 5/8 OD). After looking at the midwest website, the midwest IC is 5/8 OD and .436 (1/2) ID. A 5/8 compression...

    Hop Quesadilla

I built one back in the fall and have had no problems. Did an IPA awhile back with about 14oz of hops and had no issues. The flow slowed but never stopped. Suprisingly, I do not even have my diptube "notched" as much as I have seen others in the past.
