    Stainless Camlocks review

Order some silicone O Rings from bargain fittings. Pull out the white and replace with the red/orange. They also take a while to break in. Push the fittings together and make sure that you draw handles back at the same time. After a while you will be doing this one handed.

Anyone using 2 plate chillers to cool their wort ??

I have a two pump system. After mash, I clean out the cooler and dump a 20 pound bag of ice into it. Add some water. I recirc with a cooling coil and knock down temp to 120º. Then into the reverse flow with the ice for cooling. O2 is added in-line. The biggest problem I have now, is the...

    Fermentation chamber/mill station/work bench build

I have an old ionizer that I set right next to the grinder. It keeps the dust to nothing Also I never grind when yeast or fermenting beer is around. The dust will contaminate everything

    Fermentation chamber/mill station/work bench build

I took drill apart so I could have a flat shelf for scale. Diyd brackets etc. all scrap from shop. The bucket slides in to recessed area, it helps to keep dust and small particles in the bucket. It has made my brew days a lot easier

    brewstand building tips

I started with single level and one pump, Added 2nd pump later. Tips I learned: Make so everything can be stripped, upgrades are easier. I would add leveling legs, to mine. Pumps go as low as possible. And add cover. Simple bent acrylic works great. I used CAD to design mine. Allowed me...

Counterflow Wort Chiller Build (and use)

Made a similar one when I started brewing, still works great. The hose I used has two rips running all the way through. THose I think help break down any deap spots. Cooling is now no problem. I use a wort chiller first, with whirpool pipe. Try and get temp down to 140º or 150º, then...

My work in progress brew stand

Might get a glob of carmel in the middle of each pot unless you make some flame spreaders. SS doesn't conduct heat evenly. Color: John Deere Green, or with those burners - Jungle camo top down, sky blue from the ground up.

    Hopster Hopscreen

Look for industrial kitchen supply stores. I have one here in sacramento. Great source for stainless shapes, DIY stuff. I think its called West Coast Kitchen Supply.

    Hopster Hopscreen

That's awesome. I made a simple spider out of brass rod, bent and brazed. $5. And it works. SUre is not as good looking as that. Maybe when other projects are complete, I'' make one out of stainless like that!.

Insulate collar. 1" foam from HB can be cut and glued. Seems can be sealed with caulk.

    Spent Grains as Chicken Feed?

My chickens love the grains. I just let them cool down. For 10 chickens, it takes me 2-3 days to get rid of grains from a 5 gal batch. I was told to spread it out over time.

    Stainless Plumbing

The parts that I ordered from Plumbing supply were for the most part less. Their valves are higher I think, but that might change after the last conversation I had with them. 90º 1/2" elbow for example: Plumbing supply $2.42, BF $4.00!

    Stainless Plumbing

I have purchased from bargain fittings in the past. They don't have everything that I was needing. Neither did many of the other sites. Just a resource for those needing SS.

The great stainless single tier begins!

Pump covers - I just formed some acrylic around mine. All I needed was a heat gun. I'll take some pictures and post them. My brew rig is under constant upgrading.

The great stainless single tier begins!

That looks awesome. I was going to have my centered dropped for more space, but in the end had to lift when I realized that when wheeling, I need more clearance. The low-rider wasn't going to work for me, so I had to lift the thing. Can't wait to see pictures.
