    Hard wiring control panel

Looked pretty simple. When I turn the power on for a split second it just buzzes loud. Can someone see a problem here?

Just received my mw102 but ordered 4.00 and 7.00 instead of 4.01 and 7.01. Can I still calibrate with 4 and 7. Will it be off just .01?:drunk:

    Tri clamp and gasket questions

Recently finished aquiring all the fittings for my Stout tank system. After cleaning the system I plan on leaving the tri clamps and gaskets attached to the kettles. Not figure tight but loose and tighten them before my next brew session. Is this ok to do? I will let the hoses dry first. If...

    Silicone Tubing

Just wondering if anybody replaces there tubing after a while. I've had mine on my system a long time and ran many batches through and it seems harder and harder to clean. Can't get the smell out anymore. Pumping 180 f oxyclean through them. Still discolored , still smell like wort.

GFI is it really needed ?

I have been brewing for a few years with a 3 wire system running 2 5500 w elements with the ground connected securely to the keggles. No GFI just a few 40 amp breakers , ssr's and 2 pids. I am still alive and my system works great and I am very confident about it. If your brew pots are...

    Post Junkies

There are a ton of great experienced brewers here and I respect you all. However, there are also a ton brewers that assume the more posts they have, the more experience about brewing they have over someone who has only a few posts. It's silly I know but it bothers when I will post something and...

    Gose bottle

This Gose bottle has been in my wifes family forever and was bought from an antique store in Montana. Does anybody know about it or from what brewery it is from in Germany ? It has no markings just a picture of 3 monks breaking bread with a few steins of beer. Looks to be hand painted. Any...

    Sparging Hops

I brew on a three vessel Herms rig and chill with a 50 ft counter flow chiller that is built in to the system. After the boil I pump through the chiller back into the kettle to whirlpool the hops and chill the wort. After that I pump the cooled wort into the fermenter. There is still wort in the...

Macadamia Nut Caramel Chocolate Cluster Beer

Got some of these from Costco and immediately wanted to make a beer that tasted like them. I figure its alot healthier to make a beer than sit and eat 5lbs of these little bastards. Started on a recipe but wanted to see some thoughts.:mug:

    Grain Blocking Ball Valves

I brew on a herms system and my mlt has a sabco false bottom. I use one pump to add sparge water and another to pump wort to the bk. No matter how I crush my malt small pieces get through and block the ball valve controlling the wort to bk. Has anybody had success using a grain bag or paint...
