    Hop sack with Clear Draught system

    I was thinking a way to limit the time dry hops are in the keg is use a hop sack with a fishing line part way down the keg. Wondering if that would interfere with the Clear Draught system (floating dip tube) Obviously too much time on my hands. :)

    Spunding question

    I was thinking about trying a spunding valve. My concern is once I transfer out of the fermenter, I don't have any temperature control. I was thinking, since fermentation is almost complete, perhaps temperature control is no longer needed. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Just realized I don't have enough yeast

    Greetings, I'm brewing up a 1.074 and realize I only have one package of 1056. Should I pitch one and see how it goes and then add additional yeast? Or should I throw in some dry yeast with it I have laying around

    My 30 minute boil result

    Greetings, I tried a 30 minute boil for the first time. My first wort gravity reading ended up being equal to my gravity at the end of the boil. I did have a low boil off rate (about 6%) Just curious, is this normal for a 30 minute boil? In this case, it didn't matter as I hit my OG.

    BIAB with sparge

    Greetings, I've been a no sparger forever, because I enjoy the ease. We just got a hot water dispenser that pours 170-180 degree water, so I wouldn't have to heat up anything separate. So my questions are: 1. What water to grain ratio do spargers use? 2. How much sparge water? Thanks

    Growing centennial hops in Seattle

    I'm looking to plant some centennial hops, but when looking at the website for Centennial rhizomes it states the following: They grow well in most climates, but NOT wet coastal climates. Has anyone in Seattle had success growing centennial?

    Pump Question

    Greetings, As I'm another year older today, I'm looking to buy a pump so I don't have to lift up the brew kettle to pour into the fermenter. My fermenter is pretty high off the ground (4 foot or so) Would a pump have problems with this?

    I'm looking to use a fining agent to clear an Irish Red I'll be brewing. I see most folks cold crash in the low 30's. Will fining work in my serving keg that is in the low 40's?
