    "Sticky-Kegging FAQ's"

I've began using 1/6 bbl kegs and have boogered up a few of the spiral clips during removal. Does anyone have a source or part number for replacements? Not the snap/e-clips that require special pliers, I'm looking for OEM style. Thank you!

Can someone approve/kick me in the rear for this diagram?

Here's the new diagram, I added a keyed switch and "hot panel" light (for lack of a better name), added some illuminated switches after the element selector for visual confirmation and redundant control. Whaddya think? The keyed switch is my biggest concern now. Tried to make it bigger to...

Can someone approve/kick me in the rear for this diagram?

I was just looking over my diagram and was thinking, if the fuse blows, that kinda negates the action of the shutoff switch. Unless the GFCI tripped before the fuse popped... Eh??

Can anyone explain why PJ's diagrams feature a fuse after the emergency shut off?

Correct. I didn't know how to label the SSVR, but the SSR (on left) shows the information as found in PJ's original. My biggest concern is the wiring of the SSVR. The diagram from Auberins looks like this. Did I pull that off correctly for 220V?

I'm not an electrician, and regard it as magic most of the time... I modified on of P-J's diagrams, I hope you don't mind PJ. Does this look like it will function? EDIT: DIAGRAM CHANGE PLEASE SEE POST #17

This contamination has spurred an interest. I just bought the Wyeast Lambic Blend and the Brett lambicus to see what they taste like. I've had some commercial lambics but not sure what flavors came from where... I also did the malt-and-water lactobacillus concoction in a gallon jug to see where...

So with this being one gallon any ideas on how soon to take a sample. It's completely sealed with saran wrap and sitting on the counter at 75'. It hasn't changed in appearance. Thanks, Henry

I brewed in my kitchen, and although I cleaned up first, it isn't the most sanitary room in the house. The dog and cat live in the kitchen when we're in there, and I probably had a window open. How soon do you think signature flavors could be detectable? I've never worked with anything but...

I'm have no idea what this is, I had some extra starter wort left over because I ran out of lids. I put the remainder in a gallon jar and left it open for an hour or so. The next day I noticed some bubbling at the surface but I did not remove the foil cover. This is at day 3. Unless someone...

How Fast is Fast? My DIY Immersion Chiller -2 parallel 20'x3/8" coils

Okay, it's official I can't help myself. I added a 4th coil. The first time I tried to time the chill for 5 gallons I got frustrated that it was taking so long,I was at the 100'F mark in something like 5 minutes when I noticed my feet were really warm as I stirred the kettle. The burner...
  16. The chiller is 80' of 3/8" coil with 24" of 1/2" riser, that's over 8 square feet of surface area. With the time from the last brew, and those measurements that calculates to just over 2640 BTU/hour or 775 watts of cooling power.
