    Confessions...My beer doesnt taste good

I don't have a temp control system so I change my brewing depending on the season. Summer I use yeasts that benefit from the warmer weather and turn to other strains in the fall and winter months. I'm lucky and live in an area with a mild climate so I can get away with ambient temperature...

    Why can't I find a good IPA?

I'm in the same boat as you. Anything with more than 30 IBU's is not for me.

    Old School Brewing

Had to go to the local library and have them get the single book on the subject (thanks Charlie!) transferred from a couple towns over. Then I had to listen to all my friends tell me I would go blind or worse if I attempted to make my own beer. Ahh, those were the days....

What are your contrarian/"unpopular" beer opinions?

I cannot stand hoppy beer. With all the hop madness these days it can be difficult to find a good beer that does not have 15 pounds of hops dumped in it.

    Holy bottle bombs Batman!!

First thing I did was to put the other bottles in the fridge. Going to test one after they have chilled out. Have made cider many times bottling in plastic and this was my first bomb.

    Holy bottle bombs Batman!!

Well this is a first for me. Made a batch of blackberry cider, been in the bottle for a couple weeks. I use plastic soda bottles since they are cheap easy and the cider does not last long around here. Woke up today and thought I smelled something yeasty, but did not give it much thought. Got...
