    Best conditioning method...

I am planning to condition a brew for a few months but I wanted to see the best way. Should I age it in a secondary carboy for a few months then bottle a month or two before drink time or bottle it after a month or two and let it age in the bottles? I am wanting to make an Octoberfest so...

    first kegerator

Well it looks awesome. Have you thought about putting the taps on the side? Might look kinda funny but they will be out of the way and you can have the larger chalkboard ones.

    conical fermenters?

Maybe something like this would interest you... http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/v-vessel.html Its only 6gal, but you can ferment in this then remove the sediment without disturbing the beer very much. I have been checking this thing out, looks like it would be pretty handy. Hope this...

    2nd in the bucket.

sweet, g;ad to know I should be ok. I have been tasting it the whole time. From right after boil. when we transfered to secondary then when we bottled it. Our first batch was an American wheat, it only calls for 2 weeks in the primary then bottle it. We did a little more than two weeks in...

    2nd in the bucket.

Well, I started my 2nd batch tonight and bottled my first batch. I got a couple concerns I figured I would post up about. When I was using the auto-siphon it would get air pockets no matter how I tried to get it going. So oxygen was introduced to the beer. Not a lot, but a bit. Am I in...

    Burners

I have this also, works awesome. I had it pretty low on my first run and it was still easy to control. Remember to stir and control the flow when adding hops to control the boil and you won't over flow.

The burner is MASSIVE, I wasn't expecting it. I figure with this combo I won't have a problem doing a 5gal full boil.

    Hey from San Diego

The first batch is just a simple american wheat so I will just dry pitch it. After I get more first hand experience I will mess around with different techniques. Thanks for the info. I got my tracking # tonight so I should have all my stuff on the 21st!!!

    Hey from San Diego

Is there any prep needed with the yeast that I got? Or do I just add it to the cooled wort?

    Hey from San Diego

Hey, Just wanted to do a quick update. I ordered my brewing kit, ended up with the deluxe brewing kit from Northern Brewers. Went with a simple American Wheat beer for the first batch. One thing I wasn't sure of was the yeast, I went with the "Wyeast 1010 American Wheat" over the "Safale US-05...
