    Kettle size...bigger always better?

ok then there are no real issues you should have, didn't see any large Bayou SS models that had spigots to add a valve so i guess you'll be cutting it yourself, and it looks like it'll be $50 dollars more for that extra 5 gallons

    Kettle size...bigger always better?

You didn't mention what kettles you are interested but I think its safe to assume you'll be wanting blichmann bling:cool:, you will have an issue with the thermometer on the kettle when doing small batches of 5 gallons in a 20 gallon kettle because the thermostem is at the 8.25 gallon mark but...

Does anyone else get gassy after drinking hoppy beers?

like the above statement it is more likely the yeast that is giving you the "beer farts", usually get them from bottle conditioned beer (homebrew/some micros)

Netflix has decided to increase my plan price by 60%

Netflix has something like 25+million users, I dont think a few thousand are really going to make a different, especially considering there big arguments are against the dvd portion of Netflix and it seems that netflix is pushing toward an all streaming service

Netflix has decided to increase my plan price by 60%

a 30 minute program is really about 20-21 minutes long when you cut the commercials so your looking at about 30% of your time wasted on commercials;)

Netflix has decided to increase my plan price by 60%

doesn't seem like that big of a deal, I use netflix but only for the streaming stuff and at $8 a month compared to the $70 a month for satellite or cable it is a bargain, I know that the streaming plus one dvd out a month was only $2 extra and for that it was a great deal but I didn't think that...

    Disaster during kegging!

Oh :o, when I read that you heard a creaking noise I figured that the chair was breaking, and figured you had to have put a lot more than 5 gallons/50lbs on it to break or else you would have known right away that the chair was not sturdy

    First post, first HB keg!

    1. You can rig a keg for just about anything the problem with making it a fermenter would be in trying to seal it and putting a blowoff/airlock on it, i'm sure some of the guys may have done this, do a search and you may find what your looking for 2. although not ideal, once the beer is...

    2011 Caveman BBQ

Why is Corn Sugar so expensive?

Corn may not seem that expensive but up until about 5-10 years ago when the ethanol push started corn was at about 30 cents a can now its at about $1 a can, and that's with all the extra corn that is now being grown

How long will uncarbed beer last in keg?

as though your just going to throw them out without trying them:cross: you should be fine, Its always a good idea to purge and put a blanket of CO2 on top of your beer once its in the keg(like the previous post alluded to), then you can let it sit and carb whenever your ready

How much beer is left in the keg??

http://www.micromatic.com/part-pid-SS100.html I haven't actually used them but they seem like a cheap and easy solution and they are reusable.

    check my Kegerator upgrade list

you look set, might want to think about whether you want threaded or barbed disconnects, about adding an extra check valve to the manifold i'm not really sure but I think it would be a lot easier and cheaper to just add a tee fitting on one of the existing valves (you'll have one valve supplying...

    Brat Brew

I really love Bratwurst and have boiled with beer a couple of times before I put them on the grill but i'm not really sure what style of beer would be better suited for Brats, but I will add that the quality of the Brat itself would have more impact on end result than the subtle flavor of the...
