Belgian Quadrupel label made with vinyl cutter

I am taking a 2d/3d printing class at the local community college and we learned how to use a vinyl cutter, so I made experimented with a beer label. They turned out pretty good. Pic of the vector file: :mug:

Ultra Cheap 3L drafting trial advice

you could also go with a carbonator cap and gas in ball lock to tubing and tap. may need to lay bottle on the side so sediment won't clog tap. probably don't need twenty feet of tubing. there's also nothing to displace the beer from the bottle as it empties so you ll have to squeeze it out...

Badger Hops are the Choicest Bohemian Hops

Found this little box online. Now it lives in the living room. Info said it is from the 1920's during prohibition, but there is no date on the box. The box was unfolded and unused. Regardless of whether or not it is actually an original or is a reproduction, it sure is neat! They seem to pop up...

    Vintage Sears Home Winemaking Kit

I came across this in a thrift store today...I couldn't resist buying it and sharing it here. The instructions weren't in the box but the details on the side/back describe the recommended process very well. I also couldn't find a date on the box, but those folks sure are dressed all trendy like.

I LOVE waking up to hot strike water. Easy as 1-2-3.

I forgot to mention, that my test results comported very well with Todd's spreadsheet (within 10 minutes assuming a Thermal Loss of 1.05). -Jon

I LOVE waking up to hot strike water. Easy as 1-2-3.

I did not, as I was mainly interested in getting up to high enough temps to add grain to get to mash temp, and I put my temp probe as far away from the heater as possible. For what it's worth, it has prob been about an hour since I finished the test and the water in the cooler is reading 162F...

I LOVE waking up to hot strike water. Easy as 1-2-3.

@Eyedoctodd: Thanks for posting this! I purchased one of the Marshalltown 742g heaters a few weeks ago and had time today to play around with it prior to brew day. I plan on using it with a timer and temp controller to heat mash water to appropriate temp the morning before brew day. It looks...

    American Wheat Beer American Wheat

Based on old Beersmith records...I used approx 3.25 gal in the mash (should be about 1.25 qt per lb of grain) and 4.5 gal of sparge water. The sparge volume is based achieving 6.25 gal of wort, preboil.

Historic Cincinnati Breweries/Distilleries from 1912 Sewerage Plans

Our records department recently scanned a sewer plan from 1912-1913. A part of the plan includes information on all major industrial users, which included a list of all breweries in the Cincinnati area at the time. I put together the excerpts of the sewer plan that included any information on...

    Dark Brown Ale

Time frames aren't crucial, I usually let the beer sit in primary for 2-3 weeks, and sometimes secondary for a week or two. The time frames for the batch on this recipe page were more or less scheduling issues, it was 24 days because thats when I had time to get to secondarying it. Let us...
