    Chicago Co2 consumers?

How much does Aurora Beverage charge? I usually go to AirGas in Aurora/Montgomery.

Vermont Beercation Weekend (give me tips!)

Although I haven't been there in 6 months or so, American Flatbread in Burlington has some tasty brews to sample as well. I highly recommend a stop in there. Great flatbreads as well.

    2.5 or three gallon cornies?

Yeah, I'm not sure I buy the theory that you can carbonate any faster based on the size of the keg. 12 PSI is 12 PSI. If you use the 'set it and forget it' method, it doesn't matter what volumn the vessel is, I think it's going to take the same amount of time to absorb. I won't even debate...

WTB Ball lock Corny and CO2 Chicago

They should be cheaper then that at the LHBS. I just don't like to pay what they want for them either. Adventuresinhomebrewing.org has been good to me in the past too.

WTB Ball lock Corny and CO2 Chicago

Good luck! They are few and far between in the Chicagoland area. And if you do find some, the seller must have had them gold plated based on the prices!

    10 gallon extract

Ok. Just wanted to make sure that you planned to do that.

    10 gallon extract

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't he want to double ALL the ingredients if making a 10 gallon batch. If you simply add an extra 5 gallons of water to the ingredients for a 5 gallon batch wont you just end up with 10 gallons of extremely watered down beer?

    Chicagoland area...Interested in 20 lb CO2 tanks?

    Chicagoland area...Interested in 20 lb CO2 tanks?

I know of 2 places in Aurora that will do a hydro test. I know it's not exactly local to you being that you are from Joliet, but there really aren't very many places around the Chicagoland area that do them.

First time kegging - keg is pressurized?

You guys should check out Adventures in Homebrewing (www.homebrewing.org). They have (4) ball lock kegs for $80. You will need to replace the o-rings, but it is still a great deal depending on how much it is to ship to whereever you live. For me it was only $20 for shipping, so I got 4 kegs to...
