    Glycol got in beer

A fusion weld is pretty specific. It's a TIG weld with no addition of filler wire. I've been in the sanitary stainless steel welding industry for 15 years. A fusion weld is going to be undercut as you're not adding material to create a fillet. It's common and perfectly acceptable for this...

    Glycol got in beer

It's always funny to see how everyone becomes welding experts. What is a cavitated weld? Lol Also it's obvious this weld didn't use filler wire. You're welding a 1/4" chuck of stainless to tubing that is probably .035" wall thickness. It's called a fusion weld and you can push enough material...

Warning to Spike Trio/Electric Brewing users

You can't unplug from the wall and tighten loose connections with a screwdriver? Maybe you shouldn't be brewing then...

    How remove manufacturer’s label ?

This response is so bizarre to me. The customer bought the equipment knowing it was going to have a logo on it. Then he's asking the company how to remove it? If you emailed Ford to remove labels off your car do you think they'll come back and say, "Hello sir, here's a step by step on how to...

    Propane Burners

What I'm saying is anything over 55,000 BTU's is just wasted propane. You don't need a 200,000 BTU burner for brewing beer.

    Brew Kettle

You just opened a can of worms here ha ha It's a matter of opinion. Stainless will hold up better, aluminum is cheaper, aluminum needs to be conditioned, etc etc I have some stainless kettles for sale. Check them out and feel free to call/email if you have questions. Ben Caya...

    Propane Burners

How long does it take to boil 10gals with your SP10? Reason I ask is we've done extensive testing with boil times of a keggle vs a kettle using the SQ14

    Propane Burners

I disagree. It's aprrox 3 times the heat output (3 times the propane usage) but you won't cut your heating times by 3. I'll go with the efficient SQ-14.

    Propane Burners

No there isn't a standard number. Get the SQ-14. It puts out 55,000 BTU's and has a big enough frame do you'll be able to upgrade to a larger pot eventually. We've done testing and the SQ-14 can get 10 gallons of water boiling in ~40mins. -Ben

    Morebeer! Economy Kettle

I make kettles and that 9gal kettle is a great deal! Almost 10gal with 2 welded coupler won't be beat by anyone (even I'm $10 higher for a similar kettle). When people talk about material thickness it confuses me. Your boiling water in it. How strong do you want it? It's already made from...

    Brew Pot

That's your opinion and I respect that. However many of my customers would disagree and be happy they found a great deal on a kettle.

    Brew Pot

A 10gal pot with 2 couplers is $105. I have ball valves for $20. I currently do not have any thermometers although plenty of vendors on here sell them. -Ben
