While I await the end of the pandemic and the return to normalcy to open my Brew pub in the abandoned convenience store we bought. I built this Brew Shed. 1 bbl electric 2 vessels. Custom fabricated tippy dump. 2 SS Brewtech 1bbl conicals and a 1bbl unitank.

The cure for your short hose troubles

Nope made root beer many times carbed it the same as beer served it the same as beer seemed just like root beer to everyone.

The cure for your short hose troubles

25 psi is wayyyy too high IMHO if your root beer is carbed properly I've always just served mine at beer serving pressure 10-12psi

Unboxing Colorado Brewing Systems new Single Vessel System

dude I feel your pain I so wanted to have a BIAB system work but I think in bigger volumes it just does not work well and I have gone back to a mash tun and I am done with the trying to make 1bbl BIAB work.

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

I got sick and tired of trying to get decent flow during mash and more importantly getting it to drain with the damn basket. Wort levels and efficiencies were all over the place and dealing with 1bbl batches it's not like you can afford to keep doing batches quickly to figure it out. So I gave...

Help figure out how to turn a 50 gallon MT into a tippy dump

I had a floating dock and recently gave away 10 of those blue barrels lol Also I've already purchased the 1bbl MT from Spike. But that's a pretty clever idea! But that's exactly what I want to do is tip it right into a wheel barrel and the wheel it right out and dump it in the woods.

Do have the hinge bolted to the keg skirt?

Help figure out how to turn a 50 gallon MT into a tippy dump

Yeah that's far too complex for me. A cradle made of steel bands that wrap around the MT allowing me to hook the overhead hoist to it. Lift it up and tip to dump it. Just gotta figure out the cradle/ bands part. Problem with the basket was the attachment points was the top of the basket. So...

Help figure out how to turn a 50 gallon MT into a tippy dump

I know other brewers have gotten BIAB that size to work. But for me it's not the ease of use I imagined it to be. And at batches that size I can't afford for beer to not be perfect Everytime.

Help figure out how to turn a 50 gallon MT into a tippy dump

I tried to get a manufacturer to weld something to it but none would do it. Hmm I wonder if a steel band around the middle with ears attached to hook the hoist might be doable? I wouldn't trust a local welder to weld directly on the pot but to make band and attach it perhaps....

What piece of equipment do you wish you bought earlier?

Wish I'd gone MT instead of EBIAB when I built my 1bbl system. Now I'm buying a MT.

Help figure out how to turn a 50 gallon MT into a tippy dump

So after several attempts at 1bbl EBIAB I've come to the conclusion that it's just not working out how I hoped. My efficiency is way down. The basket keeps giving me fits with stuck sparges and it's not easy to dump at all like I hoped. The main issue with dumping is the basket is just not rigid...

He Scores! 16 crate milk cooler!

Honestly all I'm going to do is put kegs in it and use picnic taps. I don't want to drill any holes in it. I'll post pics in the next couple weeks. I need to hire a moving company to move it from my garage and into my house. The garage is accross the street and up hill. And it has to go in the...

    Need advice now! Help!

Just not my night when I went to transfer wort for whatever reason my CFC doesn't have garden hose fittings for the cold and hot water. Grrrrrrr why???? Never noticed it before I just assumed they were. Well the first time on a new system is always a learning experience but I wish I didn't get...

    Need advice now! Help!

I've only got the one kettle so no way to heat water to sparge. I think my temps got too high. I'm going to try to to save it but if I can't and it at least ferments but it's not good beer I can use it for something else.

    Need advice now! Help!

So today was my first brew with my new setup a 1bbl electric BIAB. Pot and mesh basket I believe the basket is 400 micron mesh. Two 5500 watts elements controlled by a hosehead. I'm brewing a 27 gallon batch since it's my first time using the system and I'm inside so I wanted extra room in...

That's that Q channel or m channel stuff they use it to build alot of the frame work to the machines at work and to hold up all the conveyer belts I thought of building my stand with but with shipping it was cost prohibitive. Great job.

RO water system help! How much water can I get a day?

ok question it says this "Baseline: Add 1 tsp of calcium chloride dihydrate (what your LHBS sells) to each 5 gallons of water treated. Add 2% sauermalz to the grist." First sauermalz? I assume this is a grain of some sort? The grist? Is that my grain bill? So if it's 56lbs so I'd add 1.12 lbs...
