    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

Ok so I brewed this recipe. I may be a little late to the game as pumpkin season is nearly over, but I can confirm that this recipe results in a very close Pumpking clone and is a stellar pumpkin beer regardless. The only changes I made: used bourbon insted of vodka for the tincture; fermented...

    Kolsch recipe?

Hello all. I'm looking to brew a nice light Kolsch for easy summer drinking. Anyone have any tried and true recipes? Also, any particularities in the brewing process for this type of beer? I know I need a liquid yeast (and probably a starter) and I've heard a lower fermentation temp is best, but...

    dry hopping for 2+ weeks?

Hey all. So, I'm currently dry hopping a green flash clone. Recipe calls for a 7 day dry hop, but I've been out of town and it is now at 2 weeks. Are there any negatives to longer dry hopping periods? Thanks.

    airlock on the secondary...

Hello all. So, I racked my first batch to the secondary about 5 days ago. I stoppered it, but forgot to get an extra airlock for the hole in the stopper. I covered the stopper with some foil to prevent particle contamination, but it isnt exactly airtight. Am I going to have oxygen issues? Thanks!

    west coast IPA

Hey thanks for the recipe. I'll be ordering the hops tomorrow. A few quick questions (and keep in mind that I'm very new to this).. 1) the cara/pils...is that crystal malt? 2) To dry hop, I rack the beer to a second fermenter and then add the new hops, right? How long should the wort stay in...

    west coast IPA

Looking for a good west coast style IPA recipe. Something dry, hoppy and crisp, but on the easy side to execute. I'm new to brewing so I'd like something using extracts. Any help would be appreciated.
