Did you save your first homebrew?

I just had an old Porter that I brewed March 2010. Lets just say that it is definitly NOT a fine wine, and does not get better with age!

    Planning a fruit beer

I've done an Apricot Wheat that is absolutly delicious! My fav homebrew by far. I'm usually a hop man myself. I used 6lb Muntons dry wheat, and I recommend 3 lbs of Oregon Apricot Puree that you add in the secondary. Used Wyeast American Wheat 1010. Oregon Puree in the can is already...

    Chocolate oatmeal Stout Ruined?

Have been searching Craigslist for about 6 months for a freezer, no luck. I'm wanting to get a chest style freezer with a Johnson controls digi temp. Just haven't pulled he trigger yet. If anyone has something available, hit me up! I'm going to have to hold of on another batch until I get...

    Chocolate oatmeal Stout Ruined?

I racked my Oatmeal stout into the secondary after 2 weeks in the primary. I then have had my Stout in the Secondary for 2 weeks, for a total of 4wks. Its been a pain to keep adding ice to my swamp cooler bucket, but I have done my best to keep it 67-73 the whole time using ice bottles with...

Can anyone from Nashville or Clarksville TN help me find this beer?

I lived in Nashville for a few years when I still worked for Boston Beer Co. (Sam Adams).. Frugal MacDoogal has the best selection. It is in a crappy area of town, but worth the drive. Check out the link I attached below. Cheers!:mug: http://www.frugalmacdoogal.com/Ed_Young/

Did you save your first homebrew?

So I've saved a 6pk each of the first 7 batches or so of homebrew. I'm debating just drinking them, some of them are delish! (My American Apricot Wheat was the best). I'm starting to run out of space. I could use more empties for upcoming beers sitting in both my primary and secondary Etc...

Swamp Cooler buckets $5 at Wal-Mart! Perfect Size!

FYI- Thought I'd share. I picked up 2 perfect size swamp cooler buckets for my fermenting buckets. They are real sturdy, and have some solid thick rope handles. They were on sale at Wal-Mart for $5 each, can't beat that price! I'd post a pick, but it won't let me attach unless I have a...

Welcome! Grew up Chi Town Burbs, colege in carbondale-SIU. Worked at Pinch Penny Pub, that's how I got into brewing, love it! 1st advice- Dont skimp out on the basics. Get the biggest Brew Kettle you can, will prevent overflows in the future as they can be a huge stinky messs! Also...

Drink a Fat Tire and you'll taste the "Wet cardboard"! It's like licking a dust rag just after you wiped down your ceiling fan... Now I need to crack a homebrew just to get the thought of that taste out! Cheers!

    Please Help Beginner- Fermentation Concerns

Great advice on the actual Hydro sample. I'm still at the beginning homebrew stage, and all I read is sanitization / sanitization... I've been worried to pop the top on my primary fermenter for a reading beacuse of outside air getting in. I'll continue to keep everything clean and sanitized...
