Oops I cut holes too big on keggle!

He said he'd do the 6 welds for $50 bucks this time, but he'll do it cheaper next time if I let him cut the holes first. He said it's actually less work for him if I let him cut the holes. I haven't seen the finished product yet so we'll see tomorrow or tuesday. I'll post pics.

Oops I cut holes too big on keggle!

I took the kegs to a custom metal shop today with my couplings and the owner laughed when he saw the cutting I did. He told me next time to let him cut the holes and weld everything start to finish, just mark the spots. He laughed mainly because it is an easy fix for him and he saw me...

Oops I cut holes too big on keggle!

I plasma cut 2 holes on each of my kegs for ball valves and thermometers with my friend's plasma cutter. There is a problem though, three of the holes I cut are too big for my 1/2" SS couplings. I know keg walls are thin and hard too weld, am I screwed on these kegs? If you held the coupling...

    Help a noob?

I am making an IPA hopefully. Im curious about the hop schedule and amount of water for a 5 gallon batch. I'm not sure on how much water to boil for my main pot. I know there will be one gallon for the steeping then how much for the wort pot to get 5 gallons roughly?

    Help a noob?

Everytime I did a google search this website came up with the answer, so I decided to join! I am starting my first batch this Saturday, and am hoping someone can help me here. Anyway, I didn't want to brew a beer from an ingredients kit, it seems to defeat the purpose of making my own...
