    Well, three are in Ale Pails and the Amer. Wheat is in a 6 gallon BB with a plastic black bag over it. So I am giving my share of love.

    Yoop, you're right. I looked at my instructions and book and it only states "dark" room. I must of had nightmares regarding all the noise in the garage while the fermentation has been going on. You have to admit though, people will be scratching their head when they read my thread title.

    Haha, I can see Enya for Barley Wines and Imperials, but I believe my IPA, Amer. Wheat and Kolsch would like classic rock, blues and rock. So maybe I'm on the right track???

    when to add extract?

    Oh boy...I have split the extract on my last few batches. Amer. Wheat, Kolsch, and Irish Red. I'm boiling at about 4.5 gallons. I did use about 2/3 of the extracts at first boil. Hopefully they're not on the bitter side.
