    Flying with beer

It would be pretty cool to fly with cornies...I'd also be interested if anyone knows the answer.

    Different kind of buzz??

I haven't noticed having a different kind of "buzz" while drinking homebrew, but have certainly appreciated the reduced hangovers. I was led to believe this is from the B-vitamin complex present from the brewer's yeast. More b-vitamins=less hungover in the morning.

    Buying Faucets

I'd be quite interested o know what your experience is with this company. The prices seem almost too good to be true.

    Brewing After the Zombie Apocalypse

The trick to all-brain brewing is making sure you don't get an infection.

How to dolphin-proof my bird table?

Strategically placed cans of albacore tuna might do it as a scare tactic...I'm pretty sure they have a least some dolphin in them. Of course, if you're only getting retarded dolphins, they're illiterate and couldn't read the labels anyway. Foiled again!

Whoah now, don't go getting all crazy on me. :)

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Double Chocolate Oatmeal Snout

I ended up mashing a little too high for the first fifteen minutes or so, but got the temp down when I realized it. It's been in bottles for about four weeks and is really quite good. It only has a small head, but retains it really well. And it's very chocolatey. At first I thought the...

    Marking your carboy

Hmm...I know it's not the same but I've got some glass frosting spray paint lying around in several colors. Might give this a try using that instead of going out and buying glass etching acid.

    A restaurant's 'own' brew.

I live right down the street from Cornucopia. One of the reasons I love this town, there's so much great beer around!

    Women Brewers

I was thinking something along the lines of HWMBC (He Who Must Be Commanded).

    Women Brewers

Man, more women should take up brewing. I can't remember the last time I've had so much fun (or been so obsessed) with a new hobby. And ever since we cracked open my first batch my husband can't stop hugging me, and it's been over a month!

    First all-grain

So my first all grain went surprisingly well. I brewed Yooper's AG dead guy clone. I broke my hydrometer for the first time ever, but I'd kind of been expecting it so had a back-up on hand. The only real "problem" that I had was that I'd planned my recipe at 65% efficiency, it being my first...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Double Chocolate Oatmeal Snout

Just made this as my first partial mash. It looks so great in the fermenter, can't wait to taste it!

    Appropriate Fermenting Container

Well even though they're supposedly 22 qt containers there's probably an extra quart of room. I figure with a five gallon batch I should be fine with just an airlock but I'll add a blow-off tube if it looks like I need it.

    Appropriate Fermenting Container

    Excellent! Thanks everybody.

    Appropriate Fermenting Container

It's not high density polyethylene though, its food grade polypropylene. Maybe this link will work better. http://www.basequipment.com/22_qt_Round_Translucent_Container_p/133022.htm

    Appropriate Fermenting Container

I've recently started brewing and have my first two batches successfully fermenting away in glass carboys. I would like to brew more this weekend and have been pricing bucket fermenters and better bottles. The thing is I happen to have several 22 qt food-grade polypropylene containers hanging...
