3/8" Immersion chiller (Lancaster Co. PA)

I live close to Lancaster (Downingtown) and would be interested. I may be up that way over the weekend. Is it still available?

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 7!

Personally I'd like to see as many brewer's take advantage of these group buys so I hope you rethink this. I'm certainly not local since it takes me about 90 minutes to get there and I'd hate to see a "Local's Only" stigma placed on these.

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 7!

Evan I hear ya but I had a really bad experience using it so I just closed my account. In the past Paypal was all I ever used. Then about a year ago I sold a bunch of equipment on Ebay because we were expecting our second kid and needed the extra money. The buyer paid through Paypal and I...

    Pumpkin Ale Without The Pumpkin?

I ran into the same issue so I grated 5# of Sweet Potatoes, baked them at 350 for 90 minutes and added them to the mash. It has been conditioning in the keg for 10 days now and I would say the yam has really added to the mouth feel and color.

    Reusing Safale US-05

I've washed it up to 4 times without incident. I have noticed that after that fourth time I start to get some off-flavors (band-aid) but that may just be my washing process.

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 7!

Evan would you mind picking my stuff up again if I can't make it? Hopefully I can repay you in something better than an overly sweet Kolsch. Put me down for 1x CM-2ROW, 1X BZ-VIEN Anyone interested in splitting some Crystal 60 (GW-C60) too?

Awesome! I'm down for a few bags!

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 6!

Is it a bad sign that the links to the pricing are no longer working? Sorry to be so jumpy but I would hate if NCM nixed these group buys.

    Brat Brew

Around this time of year I like to boil them in a nice malty Oktoberfest. Then after grilling I let them hang out in a bath with onions and some sort of light cream ale.

Thoughts on a Caramel Apple Pie Ale

I haven't heard of it but thanks for the heads up.

Thoughts on a Caramel Apple Pie Ale

Really good points. I think that I may back sweeten it if the taste is too dry. I've also decided to do a four gallon 90 boil with no apple juice which will hopefully get me down to 3 gallons. Then I'm going to chill and top it off with 2.5 gallons of the juice. I've also upped the...

Thoughts on a Caramel Apple Pie Ale

There is a local event that is looking for Fall inspired brews and I figured that everyone would go with some sort of pumpkin/squash recipe so my wife came up with the idea of making her caramel apple pie in liquid form. That's where this crazy idea came from. The only reason the zest is in...

Thoughts on a Caramel Apple Pie Ale

Will this still happen if I dilute two gallons of apple juice in 4.5 gallons of water?

Thoughts on a Caramel Apple Pie Ale

I am brewing a Caramel Apple Pie Ale the upcoming autumn season and wanted to get some feedback on the recipe. Here is what I’m thinking: Instead of using water for the sparge I was thinking about going 50/50 with apple juice. I’ll mash with all water and then use the apple juice/water...

    Laser-engraved glassware - it's a schooner

You have my Punisher War Journal #6, my copy of "Fletch" and the remote control to my TV. Those look fantastic!

1st piece of equipment for AG?

Well it depends on what you already have. You can get your grains pre-crushed so I would say the two pieces of equipment vital to AG are a mash tun and a pot able to handle full boils.

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 6!

Did anyone at NCM mention anything about this? I really hope that we can keep these going!
