    5L Mini Kegs

I don't have any experience with kegging yet but just wanted to mention that from what I've read about those minikegs they don't last that long before seams start getting rusty. That's why they are rated for only so many uses.

Knotty Pine and Cedar Log Keezer Build

The whole thing is awesome, but I love, love, LOVE that cedar piece on the front.

    My Keezer build

That's seriously beautiful! Love the tile. Do you have any problems when opening the lid due to the weight of the coffin? It looks heavy.

How can we help eliminate misinformation on this site?

THIS is the biggest reason why I think it's a bad idea. Lots of techniques that are now basically mainstream would have been labeled as "misinformation" a relatively short while ago. Plus I'm in a forum because I'm interested in a variety of people's opinions and feedback, not necessarily...

    what freezer fits six cornies??

Sorry if it sounded like "just search". It wasn't my intention, I was in a hurry and remembered that thread. I hope you get answers from actual owners, but for now it looks like a Frigidaire would also work...

How often do you open your keezer / kegerator?

Thank you guys for the replies. I don't think I would use it to store anything else, so I guess after I'm comfortable with things being ok inside I wouldn't be opening it too often. I will post when I start actually building it. I have learned a lot from all the wonderful keezer build threads...

How often do you open your keezer / kegerator?

First let me say I love this forum. :rockin: I'm pretty new to homebrewing but I'm loving it and since I'm a DYIer there's definitely a keezer in my future down the line. I have been looking at different options design-wise and have something in mind that would look awesome but would make...

    looking for food grade silicone

I've heard people use something like this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001ET7B9Y/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Pretty expensive for a washer but at least if somebody in your home bakes they can use the other 11 molds (until you need them :)), or you can use a baking sheet instead which is flat

    I Brewed Malt Liquor! Damn!

I personally wouldn't dump it. I would like to see how it ages regardless of how bad you think it is now, just to see what I can learn. Hey! it's your first brew AND somebody likes it :rockin: I know... I know... malt liquor :( I wouldn't like to tie up a corny with it though, maybe you can...

You just haven't found "the one" yet. :)

    Problem with gelatin

I haven't used it yet, but from what I've read I think 165 degrees was too hot. You want the water to be just warm enough that the gelatin can be dissolved, but not hot enough for it to set, around 150*. If that was the problem you should be fine going around it, although it won't do the job...

Dumb Move of the Day Award

LOL!!! This thread makes me feel better. I just brewed my first batch a few weeks ago. Eight pounds of wet grain PLUS 3 gallons of hot water don't quite fit in a 4 gallon pot. You guys literally made me laugh out loud.

    Yeast Starter with Malta

2010 Bigfoot is on the loose!

I called their distributor for Orlando and the lady who answered didn't even know what I was talking about. She said they don't carry all their seasonals

    Showing off my new kegerator!

Sweet indeed :rockin: The chalkboard is a very cool idea. I would change the numbering on the lines, so that they read from left to right when you're facing the faucets... and the chalkboard. But that's me. Nice job!
