    I want to keg!

I'm having issues convincing my husband that kegging is the way to go. He could have his BMC type beers on one side, and I could have what I want on the other side...I could even have a tap for cider and one for mead! However, in order to convince him, I need to answer some of his questions...

    Polygamy Porter

Wasatch Brew Pub, in Salt Lake City airport, has a wonderful porter, rich in coffee notes. The name is catchy, too. http://www.wasatchbeers.com/beers.html

    What is it?

Many things can be fermented. If you ferment: malt=beer honey=mead apple juice=cider If you add malt to honey, its a braggot. If you add honey to apple juice, its cyser. So what do you call it if you add malt to cider?

I boiled the malt (about 3lbs) in 1/2 gal of soft...

Now I have to start 2 more batches....

As bottling day grew close, I took a trip to my local supply shop to get more bottles. Lo and behold, I find a sale on used 5 gal. carboys, for $10! So along with the wine bottles, I bought 2 more. Since Mead needs to age for such a long time, how many carboys/batches can I realisticly have...

    Choke Cherry Mel?

I picked over 3 gals of dark, ripe choke cherries this morning. Chokes then do be a little dry/astringent to begin with, so any ideas what else I can blend with this to balance the flavor a bit? Would it be better as a cyser than a mel?

    Coffee Mead???

I love my coffee, and I love my mead. So why not combine the 2!! I was thinking of using maybe an expresso as part of the water.....any ideas anyone?
