    Request for Steam Ventillation Information

I had this made by an hvac sheetmetal shop. It works well, requires no fan, gets about a gallon per hour boiloff. Initially there will be some condensation that runs down the inside of the cone until it heats up, but after that, it drafts well like a chimney. The main downside is I have to lift...

    Stovetop 110v single vessel system

I only use the stove heat when mashing, the element doesn't come on until I remove the bag. With the manifold I use whole hops, so the recirc port is more to just stir for even temps than to create a whirlpool.

    Stovetop 110v single vessel system

It's a 1500w camco I believe. No problems so far.

    Stovetop 110v single vessel system

Thanks for staying on topic :mug: I keep the cap as far from the element as possible and have not had problems yet. It's not the optimal arrangement for sure. The ground wire is soldered to the metal hex flange on the element itself.

    120 V Electric Brewery

If you can utilize your stove range as the second element, it greatly simplifies the setup, and you only need it for the boil.

    RIMS Build

I'm not familiar with the BCS, but with an Auber PID, you can scale the Output High Limit down, which would solve your issue, but prevent you from heating on demand sparge water, so it would have to be switchable. Although, if the PID algorithm is tuned properly, you shouldn't be overshooting...

    RIMS for Dummies

First, set OutH=100, (the default), it should be left that way unless you have a massively overpowered heating element, then make sure manual mode is OFF. Then set At=2 which will engage the Auto Tune. When Auto Tune is over, it will display At=3. Don't turn it off until it turns to At=3, it...

    Welding two sanke kegs together??

I hope this project gets done, I want to see how it turns out.

    Welding two sanke kegs together??

Honestly, this sounds like way more work, time, and money than it's worth. Even if you have all the materials, a welder will charge you at least 2 hours for the job, and that's if your cut is perfect and he doesn't have to set up a backpurge, which means you'll either be left with a thick ring...

    I ordered a TIG welder !

Are there any applications where pulse would be useful for stick welding? High deposition perhaps?

    I ordered a TIG welder !

Really nice stick work. My welds drastically improved when I ran out of a found stash of 30 year old rod and bought some new. My stick welds are not near as nice and neat as your work, you look like you've done that before.

Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

Boil a couple feet of that hose in a gallon of water, then drink the water. If you think it tastes fine, use it.

    I ordered a TIG welder !

That's funny, the one I got was the Everlast PowerPro 256 as well. I've so far used the stick welding and plasma cutter to build a bumper for my Jeep. I need to get an argon bottle to try the TIG function. So far it has been an awesome little machine, we'll see how it holds up, but for as often...

    What wood for keezer collar?

I'm partial to oak myself. Cheap, durable, easy to work with, and looks great with lots of different finishes. Cedar would hold up to condensation better, but if you seal the wood, any of them will last a long time.

    Police steal homebrew equipment

Exactly, anything I post here is an opinion. The idea that anyone can back up their claims with "proof from the internet" is absurd. I'm just stating an opinion based on what I've observed. "Most, if not all" will remain my opinion until I can be shown otherwise. Thus far, I haven't, so... neener.

    Police steal homebrew equipment

I encourage you to do your own research. I could give you references to support literally any wild claim (it is the internet after all), but you need to come to your own conclusions. I know it sounds like a cop out, but I'm serious, start with the media coverage of recent terrorist incidents...
