    Tomorrow nights project...

I will post the recipes when I get home from work tonight. I think I got the blueberry mead from HBT, the honeysuckle came from Jack Keller's site, and the blackberry from a book I have called "First Steps in Wine Making". I'll dig them out and post them up later.

    Tomorrow nights project...

The small one gallon jugs are actually the honeysuckle wine. It tastes like a riesling with a great honeysuckle flower smell. The larger 3 gallon carboys are the blackberry wine and the blueberry mead. The mead has a dark red-purple color and it tastes delicious!

    Tomorrow nights project...

Winemaking is the ultimate procrastinators hobby. Do something, wait a month, do something, wait 3 months, do something else wait a year, then bottle. The picture includes a microwave, bread machine, bowl of potatoes and onions, an empty bottle of wine with opener, wine glasses, there is also...

Nice looking setup Pete! Did you build the stand yourself or is it repurposed from something else?

    The Brew Shed!

Its funny, we have two places to go during a storm; one is our inner most closet in the house (filled with wine secondaries) the other is the storm shelter (soon to be a fermentation chamber). Let the storms come, we are prepared!

    The Brew Shed!

The sink just runs outside through the wall. I don't exactly live in a dead restricted community! The shed is on a hill and my garden sits down the hill below the shed. I don't run a lot of water through the sink really just for rinsing things off. A P-trap would be a problem in the winter. The...

    The Brew Shed!

I moved from FL about 5 years ago and had never even seen a storm cellar, so the idea of usable space below ground is pretty cool to me. I do plan to one day gravity drain to the fermenter, but it will have to wait until I build a new shed to hold the weedwackers, push mowers, and light up...
