    beersmith problem

    something aint right. i punched in a recipe for a ten gallon batch of wheat ipa with a 24 pound grain bill along with 2 pounds of rice hulls. beersmith said too use 32.5 qts strike water.(seemed right) then it said to sparge with 12.79 gallons to get 12.55 gallons pre boil. wtf.:drunk:

    i have been dumping my spent grain behind my shed all winter but now that it is hot outside the grain i dumped last week really smells bad. i can smell it from the house if the wind is rite. its gonna go in the trash till it gets cold again:cross:

    two starters one took off the other didn't

    i recently made a ryepa with a 15 and a half pound grain bill and i would like to up the rye flavor a bit. the recipe has two pounds of rye malt and a half pound of flaked rye. which one should i increase the rye malt or the flaked rye?

    filtered water brewing salts needed?

    i built a water filter using a whole house filter from instructions on this forum.i used to buy bottled drinking water and my beer was good . i don't know if my filter is removing more minerals than the bottled watercompany removes. should i add gypsum? i do brew a lot of ipas and other hoppy beers

    help with a wheat beer

    i brewed a honey orange hefeweizen from the hbt database and was wondering how long to leave it on the yeast. (primary only) i usually leave my beer for three weeks before bottling. i was wondering if that is too long for a wheat beer
