    my hydrometer is broken .so im just thinking if it looked like it was done,wont it continue to ferment in corny i know the only real judge is hydrometer but,i would just have more sediment in bottom of keg.is what i was thinking.

    it was in glass and it had stopped fermenting ,as far as i could tell .i figured it would continue to condition in keg .like it was my secondary am i wrong?

    so im brand new to kegging and i broke the line in my mini fridge trying to convert it.i figured i would prime my porter with suger in keg while it conditions then either put in my garage and serve( fairly cold new england weather)or pour into growlers then to fridge for now.its ok to prime that...

    thanks i used a butter knife ,its weird i see what looks like a pressure release valve in the middle but i cant see how i could even get at it to pull it up plyers maybe ,and one of my kegs looks like the only way you could get at it would be a needle or somthing?

    So this is crazy. i just got kegs from kegconnection .i cant pop the top on them dont want to wreck them ,are they under pressure and if so where can i release pressure ,this sounds dumb but i just dont want to bust keg

    its tough to get light colored beer with extract ,using all grain is a lot easyr,to achieve color .but you could try late addition with your boil that helps..

    Wort flowing into pump, foam coming out

    its the pump i think looks like i have same pump. to much pressure stirs the wort into a frothy mess if you can turn down your pump i think it would help also depending on what pump you can change the paddle on it to push less through.

    i made one from rubbermaid cooler check your seal on the inside mine got crimped ,from cranking it down to tight ,loosen it up a touch and re seal it with your finger tips worked on mine..

    you can do this with any high temp lager cali lager is liquid. but if you brew it get yeast strain that ferments around 60 it will still give you style your looking for..
