    Just looking for some recommended Beer kits for beginners. Currently have a single fermenter which i will use for primary and secondary fermentation. Then want to transfer to a S30(think thats right) king keg to carbonate. Would i be better of making ales rather than lagers with the above...

    just went for 1kg of brewing sugar this time, ill see how it turns out and if its no good i think ill try the same lager again but go with your suggestions instead

    Alrite. Just bought some of this and need some help. Doesnt say how much sugar to add when adding the contents of the can to the fermenter. What would be a good or normal amount? 1kg?

    my plan was to leave it in there for around 1-2 weeks, then add to a pressurised barrel. I'll wait longer and check the gravity as suggested though, thanks. To carbonate it i need to add a little more sugar, before adding to the barrel, right?

    alrite. Bought some milestone home wrecker ale a while ago and lost the instructions. Started brewing last friday and its been in the fermentor since then, not sure when to barrel it though, any ideas? Also do i need to add anything else before barrel? I have a hydrometer if that helps.
