Unveiling my brewery & garage build

Cool thanks, I have seen that one at Lowe's. Good to know it works. For the price I'll probably pick one up for cheap insurance. Fantastic build BTW.

    Sanke Keg Cleaner

How do you like that pump? Do you turn the pump off between kegs or throttle the flow with the valve on the output? Or both? My understanding is that those pumps like to be run continuously with minimal restriction. Just curious what your experience has been. I am looking to build a...

    tank welding advice

I acquired some old stainless steel tanks that I would like to use as fermentation vessels. At some point in their history legs were welded onto them. The welds were not back gassed or fluxed. So, there is some sugar on the inside of the tank. 1. Can I sand the problem areas and passivate...

    Improving CFC Efficiency

Try putting a valve on the wort out side of the chiller. Keep all the valves upstream wide open. Then you can monitor the out temp and throttle the valve accordingly to keep wort in the chiller longer, therefore reducing the temperature. Restricting the flow at the end also ensures that the...

Reelale, do you know the actual outside diameter of the morebeer wand? I have been looking at that and wondering if it would fit into a compression fitting so I can mount it inline after my counterflow exchanger.

Spoke with the company last night. It is true-the super cheap copper has been discontinued and no replacement part is available. She informed me that the transaction had been canceled a few days ago, however I did not receive any notification. So anyone else out there that ordered this...

Has anyone put a panel mounted jack on their box to connect the temperature probe? Or does someone have a recommendation on how to do this? I would like to be able to disconnect the probe from the controller with some sort of quick disconnect.

    Corny Keg Thermowell

ace, that is a good idea. I have a pressure gauge, bleeder valve and blow off tube on the gas post to vent co2. The lid I am currently using is the racetrack style with a welded (non threaded) relief valve. I'll look at my spare lids and see if any have a threaded opening.
