Did anyone ever actually make one?

    Quickie Volume Gauge

Got out and brewed this morning, giving some new riggings a proper test. This includes the volume gauge. ^7g as poured from 7 Ozarka jugs served as convenient calibrator . I was quite excited to see the final bit of the last jug barely break over the gallon marker. Spot on. ^Did BIAB today...

    Quickie Volume Gauge

I say go for broke and do both. If you're feeling saucy, put both graduations on the same scale (perhaps as 'steps' rather than 'tabs' ?). I demand photos.

    Quickie Volume Gauge

I've been posting a lot of little projects lately in anticipation for a brew day this weekend (See Quickie Temp Controller and Quickie Mill Funnel ), and this is looking to be the last of the ones I consider possibly interesting. Since I'm able to see into my kettle during the boil, and I...

Quick funneling fab for grain mill.

^Here we are again, with the same sheet of enameled aluminum, measured out and ready for chopping. Same set of tools will be used for these, with the addition of a wrench used in place of my caliper (it's around here somewhere...) ^Mounting holes drilled ^Voila. Should be...

Quick funneling fab for grain mill.

Consider it done. I'll work on a solution either this weekend or as the work week starts.

Quick funneling fab for grain mill.

I recently treated myself to a Monster Mill MM2 for Giftmas, and opted out of the factory hopper (for the time being). In lieu of $30/$40 for this attachment, I figured I would mount the mill on the underside of the factory base and use a trashcan or similar with a hole cut in the bottom. My...

    Quickie Temp Controller Build

^Sensor connected, powered up, and SSR activated. ^Playing around with it out the garage connected to freezer. All is working. ^I'm thinking I'll mag mount this to the freezer, though I'll probably end up going with heavy-duty double sided tape. I'll be sure to update when I finally get the...

    Quickie Temp Controller Build

^Arbitrary placement for the temperature probe connector. ^Holes and cut lines for heatsink/SSR mounting. ^Hole for SSR. ^SSR mounted. Heatsink mounting holes are threaded. ^Panel assembly complete. Onto the wiring. ^120 portion complete. Wires are soldered to connector terminals...

    Quickie Temp Controller Build

Nothing quite like some time away from work to get some projects done. This was accomplished with a Velleman project box of some sort and a few odds and ends from the local surplus shop. PID, SSR, and sensor purchased from Auberins.com. There's not much you can't accomplish with a drill...

CO2 refills in North Dallas area

It was not requested/required for my tank to be cold, and I did not check my tank's weight after filling (something I plan to do the next time) However, I did hear a couple rounds of venting from the back room, which I assume is why my tank was cold when returned. Admittedly, I am new to this.
