I live in Reno but will be on a trip for work next month. I'll be in Phoenix and Tucson AZ for 3-4 days and I'm wondering if there are any good microbreweries and/or brew pubs any of my HBT friends could point out to me.

I want to use wax on on vanilla bourbon stout im bottling today, like how a Makers Mark bottle looks. But locally I can't get the wine wax pellets. Do you think candle wax from a craft store would work or should I just order the pellets online and wait?

Do I let them carb up with the liquid line attached or not attached?

I just got my kegging setup ready to go. I normally do a 1 week secondary before I bottle. Should I still do the same before I keg?

So at the end of June I won a local home brew competition here Reno Nevada. It was the first competition I've entered so it really meant a lot to me. My prize was a tap handle trophy, 1lb of hops and a VIP tour and dinner at the Sierra Nevada Brewery. Tomorrow is the day, I'm pretty excited...

I just had Deschutes brewery's The Abyss for the first time (on tap no less) and I must say that it is a great beer, especially on a snowy night here in Reno Nevada. Anyone else fond of this beer?

My LHBS store has many different extract recipes to choose from when shopping, but everything is in 5 gallon batches. If I wanted to do any of these in 2 1/2 gallon batches would I just cut all of the ingredients in half? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I just want to make sure I’m buying...

Does anyone out there have an extract recipe for a North Coast Brewing Scrimshaw Pilsner clone? Or at least a good Pilsner recipe they would be wiling to share?

So I went to my LHBS after work today to pick up some supplies for the Irish Stout I plan on brewing this weekend. The owner often transfers 15.5 gallon kegs into 5 gallon corny kegs to give his customers options if they don't have a home brew ready to keg. He carrys a lot of Sierra Nevada beers...

My CO2 regulator is REALLy hard to adjust. I have to use pliers or vice grips to turn the screw. Any ideas on how to fix this?
