    Thanks for the info. Just a thought...What will happen if I add another 3 lbs of honey at a later date? Say 2 weeks, also what about adding more yeast at the same time??

    Deep Past Sanitation???

    As I was preparing my mead must, I began to wonder how sanitation issues were handled by mead makers in the dark past. Considering that sanitation was considered bad form overall, how did they keep their mead, beers and wines, from becoming adulterated by unwanted bacterias.

    Sanatizing w/ Mr. Beer Stuff

    Hey Y'all. I just got my first MR. Ber Premium Kit. I am going through the sanitation process and I notice that there is a residue on the glass measuring cup. Looks like a chalky kinda stuff. As I know the sani stuff in poison ism it ok to leave this stuff on the glass?

    OK................ Well it's day 8 and as this is my first brew I decide to"decant" it AND SEE WHATS UP. ...This sh&%* rocks. It's a bit more than sour. I guess I should have expected that but other wist ... I've had 3 cups of this stuff and It's like drinking strong wine. (I mean really strong)...

    First off let me say; thanks for the input guys. I did make a little change to the recipe though. I decided that because the sugar I use for everyday, which in only partly refined and has more molasses left in to go with it instead of honey. Also rather than putting all of it in at one time...
