    Rekegging under pressure bottles?

have some poorly carbed bottles. Imperial stout. Thinking of opening all the bottles and pouring into a keg for carbing. They have been aging for about a year, so I don't think the yeast would be active enough to do anything with any added sugar to the bottles. Anyone had luck transfering...

Dry Hopping - How long do you dry hop?

I am always curious how long different people dry hop, and if there is a significant difference in the final product. Does longer dry hopping extract more oils? Flavor? Or is there a time utilization point where longer exposure to the hops adds no more benefit?

Silicone and HLT... Do or don't

I had JB welded my quick disconnect to the outside of my aluminum electric hot liquor tank. On my last boil I found the HLT sitting in a large puddle. Not a nice thought when it is electric.... I quickly took my Dremel to it and removed the disconnect. Went down to the brass and fitting shop...

    When does kölsch stop stinking?

This is my first Kölsh. Had it in the lager fridge for 5 weeks. Just bottled it, and it was still really stinky. Very heavy sulpher taste and smell. It has mellowed a lot in the last 5 weeks, but still far from the smooth drinks served at the sidewalk cafes in Köln. Doe anyone know how long...
