    bottled first batch

    I just bottled my first batch of beer. It's a northern brown ale. Looks great and can't wait to drink it. My opinion so far is that it would be a lot easier to go to the store and buy a 6-pack, but a whole lot less fun. It will all pay off come a few weeks. :rockin:

    Want to make smaller batches

    I am just starting to brew beer. My first batch is fermenting now with an ale pale kit. It is a 6 gallon batch. I would like to maybe do 3 gallon batches so I can continue to make new batches. Making multiple 5-6 gallon batches would make more beer than I could drink, and will build up fast...

    First time bottling!!

    Should I let my batch sit in my priming bucket for a couple days after transferring it from my fermenter? I didn't know if it helps to clear the beer before bottling.

    Any good barley wine recipes??

    I would like to make a barley wine soon. I am new to making beer, and started with a complete kit of everything I need. If this batch turns out right I may take the next step and not use a pre-brewed can. Also, would you recommend using glass carboys instead of the plastic buckets my kit...
