new to kegs, but is this ok?

that looks like something you would still have to use priming sugar for if you are looking to have a carbonated cider. i've never seen those... i'd be interested to know more about them also. i use refurbished soda kegs and force carbonate.

JediJoel- I took a regular beer bottle cap and put it on the champagne bottles i sell here. It worked fine.

on the upside tho, i'm pretty sure the corks would pop out before the glass would break... so at most you should only get a mess on the ground but no glass

Dry yeast or not Dry yeast that is the question!

It says on Fermentis packs not to rehydrate. "Pitching: Sprinkle into wort" The people that rehydrate them think they are doing something good... but they're just wasting their time.

To airlock or not airlocked primary fermenter?

use an airlock... it reduces the risks. who really wants to lose a batch of beer just because of not using an airlock?

Dry yeast or not Dry yeast that is the question!

dry is for those too cheap to buy liquid. with a liquid, you can make the same recipe two or three times and pitch different yeast each time and have three different end results. btw... if you do decide to do dry... DON'T REHYDRATE! just pour it into your fermenter. it knows what to do. I work...

    Yeast Question

dry yeast is for people too cheap to use liquid. upgrade to liquid and quit worrying about the added cost. the beer comes out much better
