    Once you attach a hose to the mash tun, you have in essense a movable hole. Just keep the end of the hose lower than the bottom of your mashtun.

    5/8" tubing should be the same size as 1/2" copper pipe. You can use 1/2" fittings.

    i drill all my holes. Easier for me than cutting slots. i drill holes with a 3/32" drill bit..

    Just do not over water them if you plant them in a pot. Drowning them is the number 1 way yo kill them.

    you can go on You-tube and look up grain mills. There is a bike powered mill on there somewhere.

    All my manifolds are CPVC pipe with holes drilled in them. I put the holes down. i never had a stuck sparge.

    How to mount March Pump that has no Mounting Feet?

    i made a couple oblong slots, wide enough for a hose clamp, in a piece of wood and mounted with 2- 4" hose clamps (worm clamps). 4" hose clamps fit pretty good around the pump.

    if you want to cut down on flying bits, you can just grind your grain at my house. hell, you can even brew your beer at my house..i will take more pictures next time.. mike

    60qt. Ice Cube Mash Tun Build - $cheap and simple

    I always drill a couple of holes in the lid of a cooler and blow spray foam in it. one hole to blow foam into and one hole on other side for it to come out. there is no insulation in most cooler lids.
