    Grainfather!!

Hey all! First brew on the GF two days ago. Really pleased! Efficiency, easy of use, small footprint-all exactly what I needed. If you are on the fence I'd say leap. I waited a long time trying to decide between breweasy, braumeister, colorado brewing systems, brewha and brewboss. Then...

Green Flash : Hop Head Recipe?

Would love to hear how this turned out...I love this beer and I also had Pursuit of Hoppiness from Grand Teton. Both are fantastic highly hopped reds and I want my next brew to be similar...

    Sweet Stout Deception Cream Stout

Others have indicated a slight fall off after 6 months. It depends largely on how good you are at keeping O2 away from it of course. If you really want to age it I'd scale up to an OG of around 1.080 or higher and send me a sample in about a year so I can verify it's awesomeness!!!

    Odell IPA clone?? Comments/Concerns??

I love the looks of your malt bill and I love this beer! I think when I try to clone this I'll bitter with columbus-about one once and then an ounce of simcoe at twenty and one ounce each of centennial and amarillo at 5 and flameout. Then dryhop with an ounce each of centennial...

    Broken Halo Clone

Insp 79: two weeks at least in primary and all your beers will come out better. Many in HBT advocate a 1 month primary which shows INSANE patience. Good luck!!!

    Newbie Hophead

Depends on what aspect of hops you most want to emphasize. Add more early in the boil to get more bitterness. Add more later in the boil to get hop flavor. Add a dry hop after fermentation to get more aroma. To really hop up a kit recipe without losing the balance of the beer I usually...

    Surly Furious clone

Yeah, I didn't intend to mash at 158 I just overshot my 154 target and desided to go with it. It had been so long since I had Furious I thought maybe part of the magic was mashing high....turns out it's not.

    Commercial Beer Recomendations

So much depends on location...in Colorado I love Oscar Blues-Gubna is my fav. Odell IPA is also excellent and Avery Out of Bounds Stout are some favs. In Minnesota where I'm headed as I type it's all about Surly Furious!!!!

    Surly Furious clone

And the game goes on.....I. brewed this on Wed with some small changes. LHBS didn't have caramunich so I ended up using 1.5 lbs of crystal 60 (yikes too much I'm afraid). I added 4ounces of aromatic and subtracted the black patent. Mashed high at around 157. I FWH summit for 90, added a 60min...

    Surly Furious clone

I had Denny Conn's Wry smile IPA on the docket to brew tomorrow but I'm leaning towards trying this recipe instead. No British ale yeast within driving distance though. Any thoughts on how this would be using Denny's favorite 50 or s-05? Or should I go ahead with the Wrypa? Thanks?

    Surly Furious clone

Way to go Yooper! Way to hit it out of the park on the first swing! Let us know if you change it at all when you scale it to 10 gallons. Just a couple weeks before I'm in the Cities buying up all the furious that will fit in my trunk! (Won't be much due to luggage of wife and two daughters.....)

    American IPA Furious Clone?

I'm really interested in your Pac Man batch. That yeast is such a beast! When I used 1335 I underpitched and it never took off. Ended up pitching S-05 to finish it off.....Pac Man is much more forgiving so I'd love to use it in my Furious clone if it's just as tasty. Either way looks like...

    American IPA Furious Clone?

Speaking of yeast....is there a concensus as to the best yeast to use for a Furious clone? I'll plan on saving some extra space in the car just in case abrasive is available! Thanks all! Tony
