My Ugly *but kinda sexy* temp controller

I recently picked up an arduino myself, for jobs like this. Unfortunately it has just sat around. But since I saw this thread today, I think I'll get off my arse and finally do something with it. (when I get around to it) :cross:

    Brewpastor's Coldroom Build

I am definitely tuning in for this! Speaking of root cellars, I wonder if one might work for lagering... anyone have any experience?

What kind of fittings are these?

Ok, I figured it out and got my order put in. I was going to order from Brewmaster's Warehouse, but they can't sell to other Georgians. O_o Bizzare. We do have some weird laws down here, I must say. At least we can homebrew legally!

What kind of fittings are these?

I actually got this keg from Zac, good guy. I also have another 4 that I plan on filling up as soon as I can. :D Pin lock, okie dokie, that helps. Is all the tubing a standard size or is there a specific size I will need? (man I'm a newb) Also, should I get barbed or threaded disconnects...

What kind of fittings are these?

Sorry, here's the pic. I'm crazy stressed and going out of my mind today.

What kind of fittings are these?

Hey guys, I'm COMPLETELY new to kegs, and I want to get a beer kegged and carbed by next weekend, which means that I need to order my fittings and stuff today. Currently, I have the keg and a 20lb CO2 tank. If I may ask, what kind of fittings are these and what all do I need to carb/dispense...

    Bottling/kegging in a hurry.

I have no reg or fittings or anything like that, but I will see if I can get my hands on them. What all do I need as far as fittings and tubing? I'm looking at kegconnections, but I have no clue what I need, and their sets come with the keg and tank (which I already have). Other than the reg...

    Bottling/kegging in a hurry.

Heya guys, I've got an Oatmeal Stout that's been sitting in the primary for about 4 or 5 weeks (geez I'm lazy) and I was wondering if it would be proper to bottle it straight from the primary. I can rack it into a secondary for a day or two, if that is neccesary. (I hope keeping it in the...

A question on how to dispense from a Corny, minimalist-style

Yo guys, I'm in a pretty nice situation right here. I'm working at a liquor store, and I can order corny kegs from the local supplier, with only a $30 "deposit". (which I of course don't plan on getting back) Only problem is that they only come full of beer. :p So, in an extremely broke (in...

    Portability of Corny kegs

Hey guys. I like to take my homebrew to parties and share it with lots of people. (possibly the best thing to do with homebrew) I'm currently using bottles, but I'm seriously thinking about switching to kegs. Now, if I switch to kegs, will I be able to take my beer with me? That is, how...

    Racking/bottling for a beginner?

Hey guys! I'm about to bottle a beer today. It's a Belgian Witbeer and it's been in the fermenter for a little over 3 weeks (so it should be good and done). My dilemma comes in that my fermentor is a 6-gallon bucket with a spigot towards the bottom. Now, I was wondering if I can bottle...

    Star Anise

Can you add Anise Seed to a secondary ferm? Or must it be boiled in the beer? Would it be a good idea to boil the seeds in a small amount of water before adding to the beer for Secondary ferm? Also, anyone here had an anise beer before? I think it sounds neat, but I don't want to use it on a...

When is beer ready to bottle?

Hey guys, I recently brewed 5 gallons of witbeer, almost 3 weeks ago. The airlock hasn't been bubbling for about 2 weeks, and I'm wondering if I can bottle it today or wait the 2 days until it turns 3 weeks old. Is it basically okay to bottle whenever the bubbling stops? Cause if that's the...

What if my wort is too concentrated in the fermentor?

You explained it perfectly. I will certainly bottle it after 3 weeks. And then I'll move on to my stout. :rockin::rockin::rockin:

What if my wort is too concentrated in the fermentor?

Thanks guys! I'm no longer worried about my beer anymore. I'm actually without a hydrometer right now, but I plan on investing in one soon. That should make brewing easier for me. :p I plan on transferring it to the secondary this weekend, when it hits 2 weeks of age. Is there a particular...

What if my wort is too concentrated in the fermentor?

Hi guys, I recently brewed a Witbeer, and I am fermenting it in a 6-gallon bucket. (HDPE, of course) What I was wondering is this: There was no 5-gallon mark on the bucket, so I just filled it up to where I figured the 5 gallon mark would be. (it made sense at the time and still does) The...

    Extra 15 minutes boil?

Whoo-hoo! Thanks guys! Next on the list is a chocolate coffee oatmeal stout. :)

    Extra 15 minutes boil?

Hey guys, I was brewing a Witbeer last weekend (my first non-Mr Beer adventure) and I was supposed to add half of the malt extract 15 minutes before the end of the boil, along with half of the hops and the spices. Well, I forgot to add that malt extract. I realized what I did, so at the end...
